Baby Seal Rescued
It’s a bit blustery and rainy here today in Inchydoney as you can see from the webcam. This morning a little seal pup washed up on the beach, alive but a bit shaken. When the tide goes out here, it goes quite far so the poor little thing hadn’t a chance of getting back into the water.
Staff from the hotel managed to contact the Seal Sanctuary when we realised he was there and they came out to try and help. With the help of the staff and the man from the sanctuary, the seal was moved from the beach and transported off to Midleton in East Cork where he will be rehydrated and cared for.
Once he is back to himself, the seal will be put back into the sea and will hopefully rejoin his friends and family.
We will keep you posted on his progress….
