Feel Safe with Us

Throughout the Covid19 pandemic, we have been continuously working to ensure that we are operating in line with our Government and The World Health Organisation protocols.  Paramount to us, is assuring you, our guest, that we are well prepared.  It is important for us to emphasise that our hotel is clean, as always, to the highest standards, disinfected and that our team understand the seriousness of this pandemic.  In all cases, the health of our guests and colleagues is the most important consideration.   


This document will be frequently evaluated to verify compliance, identify, and correct any gaps and we hope it will serve to give you peace of mind when returning to Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa.


In the meantime, we wish you well and thank you from all of us for your continued loyalty and we look forward to looking after you and hope you enjoy our friendly hospitality and service.


Please note the following information on how we will manage our accommodation, our public areas, and our team, to ensure guest safety while adhering to the Covid 19 guidelines.

The following measures will be in place:


Our Team:


  • will partkae in Antigen Testing every 10 days
  • will maintain social distance at all times
  • will receive training in COVID-19 safety and hygiene protocols  
  • will wash their hands as frequently as possible and in addition they will use hand sanitizer each time they use shared products or equipment
  • will be temperature checked at the start of their working day
  • will declare daily that they are illness free and able to work
  • appropriate PPE will be worn by all employees based on their role and responsibilities, including the wearing of face masks in all customer facing roles.  
  • training on how to properly use and dispose of the PPE will be given.  


Hand Sanitizer and Handwashing:


  • hand sanitiser dispensers, touchless whenever possible, will be placed at all guest and employee entrances and contact areas such as reception desks, restaurant, bistro & lounge entrances, meeting rooms, spa and gym.  
  • there will be health and hygiene reminders throughout the property


Our Guests:


  • prior to arrival all guests, will be contacted regarding our check in procedures and the making of bistro, restaurant, breakfast and pool bookings.
  • Any overseas guests will have to ensure that they have complied with current quaratine guidelines where appropriate. In these cases guests will be asked to provide proof of compliance.  If any guest is unable to provide proof, we will not be able to facilitate their stay. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

  • all guests will be asked to wear a face covering arriving and leaving the Restaurant, Lounge & Dunes Bistro and whilst moving around i.e. going to the restrooms 
  • all guests will be asked to practice physical distancing by standing at least 2 metres away from other groups of people not travelling with them while standing in lines, using lifts or moving around the hotel.   Bar, Lounge & Restaurant tables and other physical layouts will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing is adhered to
  • guests need to declare that they do not have a temperature or are not unwell on arrival
  • guests will be asked to provide a form of payment at check-in to allow express checkout.  A copy of the guest bill will be sent to their room on the morning of departure for them to check and pay over the phone or can be charged to card on the system.
  • breakfast will be served in the Gulfstream Restaurant or Inchydoney Room by table service only and reservation time for breakfast


Cleaning of our bedrooms:


  • all bedrooms & bathrooms will be deep cleaned daily
  • all door handles & doors will be washed with bleach and cleaning agents daily
  • all linen & towels will be washed with additional bacterial cleaning agents
  • all bedrooms will be sprayed with sanitiser after cleaning


Cleaning of our Public Areas:


  • hand sanitiser with be available in various points throughout the hotel
  • our management team will check all public areas every 30 mins
  • all public areas will be deep cleaned on a daily basis
  • all door handles & handrails will be washed with bleach and cleaning agents daily
  • all linen & towels will be washed with additional bacterial cleaning agents 
  • all public areas will be routinely (at regular intervals) be sprayed with sanitiser


Food & Beverage Service:


  • food will be served from 12 noon to 9pm daily in Dunes Bar & Bistro and 6.30pm to 9.45pm in the Gulfstream Restaurant
  • in line with current guidelines, we can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults per table
  • tables will be distanced from each other, in line with government guidance
  • all service will be done based on table service
  • tables will be cleaned and sanitised after use
  • guests are allowed remain at their table for 1 hour and 45 mins


Spa, Gym, Therapy Pool and Relaxation Area:


  • the number of guests in the spa, gym and pool will be on a controlled basis, through a booking system
  • guests will be asked to use their bedroom/apartment for changing into bathing and gym gear.  Robes are provided in your bedroom/apartment.  A strict sanitisation programme is in place for this area.
  • The Steam Room and Sauna will be closed.
  • Government guidelines are used for the cleaning and sanitising protocols of all pool areas.  High touch points will be repeatedly sanitised (e.g. chairs, handles, rails, decks etc.
  • the pool area will be washed and sanitised each evening and regular chemical checks will continue to be recorded as normal
  • seats in the relaxation room will be spread out to ensure we comply with social distancing
