It’s that time of year again and here at The Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa we are getting ready for the festive season and all the celebrations that make Christmas the most special time of the year. Here on this beautiful Island we want to create the best atmosphere with the best food so all can come and share their yuletide celebrations with us. On Friday 4th December, Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa will host a special Christmas Taste of West Cork where guests can enjoy a seven course festively themed tasting menu.
Celebrating individuals and businesses in the area, who have the same commitment to excellence as we do, and showcasing the finest local talents on the plate, our Christmas Taste of West Cork gives us an opportunity to highlight all the sterling work and dedication of our local farmers, fishermen and producers. From Inchigeela Game Terrine to Rosscarbery White Currant, Cranberry and Ginger Sorbet, Roasted Goose with Molaga Honey and Inchydoney Island Christmas Pudding Assiette, there is something to tickle everyone’s taste buds.
Each course of food will be accompanied by exquisite wines chosen by Anthony Tindal of Tindal Wine Merchants. Anthony, a true wine adventurer and very much travelled, will keep us abreast throughout the evening of the provenance of each of his selections and some of the stories involved in their choosing.
Even better, why not avail of our special Christmas Taste of West Cork overnight rate of €69 per person and stay the night with us? Enjoy our residents bar for late night drinks and forget about taxis home. Wake up the following morning and have the best of breakfasts in our Gulfstream Restaurant. The evening will commence with a drinks reception, followed by the Christmas Taste of West Cork menu served in the lovely surroundings of the Inchydoney Room.
