Here at the Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa, we would like to share with you all our news, our special offers and everything this beautiful part of Ireland has to offer all our guests and visitors. Every week we will be bringing you news of who we are and what we do best. Adam Medcalf our head chef in the Gulfstream Restaurant will be sharing with us our latest specials and recipes from the best of West Cork producers. Brid O’Sullivan our Island Spa Manager will keep us updated on all the latest treatments and products we have to offer. Whether you are coming for a family break, a romantic weekend, a business conference, or to get married here, we will have all the news on what this premier location on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way has to offer.
Come out to the Island of Inchydoney and you will see why the beach here has been voted the best in Ireland by TripAdvisor. As one reviewer stated, ‘To walk along the beach in the warm Irish sunshine isn’t short of wonderful’. There are miles of white sand and dunes unspoiled and pristine for your enjoyment. You can take long leisurely walks, let your children play in comfort on the shore or in the shallow tides or for the more adventurous, there is a surf school on the beach where boards and suits can be rented for all the family. You will see why on the 2500 KM of the Wild Atlantic Way, our beach was voted above all others.
From the relative seclusion of our resort, Clonakilty town is only minutes away and is perhaps the liveliest and friendliest town in West Cork. With a multitude of shops and galleries and restaurants, there is something for everyone in the town. We will bring you news of what is on, when the festivals are happening (and there are many!) and all the special events that this vibrant community host all year round. From Organic Arts Festivals to Guitar Festivals, Clonakilty has it all.
We’ll also be bringing you news of the wonderful food producers who provide us with the best of ingredients from Castletownbere to Baltimore. We believe there is something for everyone down here in Inchydoney and we want to show you how to get the most of your time from your stay with us. West Cork is bustling with fun activities for all. Whether you want to Kayak in the moonlight or set sail out to the Atlantic to watch whales and dolphins, we will bring you the news of all the activities on our doorstep. So do join us here on our blog or follow us on twitter and Facebook and come see why we #loveinchydoney and why we think you will too.
